Nex Metals Explorations Ltd (ASX:NME) successfully listed on the ASX on Dec 6, 2007 after its IPO closed oversubscribed and raising $6,000,000. Nex Metals has combined an exciting tenement package and a board of motivated and successful professionals who bring to the Company both local and international experience in mining, exploration, mining law and finance. This strong and experienced team has a two pronged focus on growth by managing efficient exploration on a highly prospective domestic portfolio whilst utilizing high level international connections to acquire valuable projects.
Nex since listing has expanded the initial tenement package which was assembled by Mr. Royce William Allen ("R W Allen"), a renowned Kalgoorlie identity and Prospector of the Year for 2005. Since listing Nex has focused on securing significant additional data on its projects to plan and instigate drilling programs. The priority projects for drilling are Randalls and Kalgoorlie West (Binduli), where subject to DOIR approvals a 5000 metre drill program is planned.
Nex has applied for and was granted representative office status in the Lao P.D.R. (Laos) which permits the Company to apply for exploration licence areas or to commence Joint Ventures with local companies. Nex Metals directors and locally appointed representatives have been favourably received at meetings with Lao P.D.R. Government Departments.
Nex applied for additional licences at their Randalls project area and a new project area Round Hill.
